A Christmas goody for today!
Mother baked delicious Apple bread this afternoon. First she ground up the apples and mixed them with sugar
Then in went the flour and spices and she stirred them together into a batter.
Finally, she poured the batter into the pans to bake.
Don't they look delicious?
However, they are earmarked as Christmas presents for our neighbors and we won't get any. Alas. If you're interested in the recipe, click here.
(Ahem, mother prompted edit: She found the previous statement too pitiful, so she is currently cutting one of the loaves for us. And I got the biggest piece. How's that for the power of a blog post! :D And let me tell you, the bread is delicious! )
